WEDDING BUDGETING Unfortunately, nothing in this life is free and that includes weddings. Some people spend their life savings on their wedding day, but spending 50,000 to 100,000 dollars on a wedding is not in the cards for most of us. To be cost effective for your wedding day you have to make an effort to do so.
Saving thousands on DIY finger food catering sounds good to me! This blog is awesome! A ton of details on what and where to buy for how many guests, how to make the dip and cheeseball and even how to set it up! I highly recommend reading this blog if your thinking about doing the catering yourself for any event!
Wedding Reception FOOD! If you are on a budget (or not) find someone that can sponsor your wedding through MWR. We went to so many caterers and were tired of hearing all we could afford was a cash bar (no free alcohol) plus chips and dip. Seriously that was one quote. On base, we got THIS through MWR. Even a carving station, a couple kegs, wine for everyone plus additional cash bar for liquor. They cut our cake too. The food was AMAZING.
