The before conservation image of a land survey/blueprint plot map. The map had been stored rolled for many years. The exposed edges had tears and the paper had a strong "memory" of being rolled. The paper had also become quite brittle. After being conserved at Spicer Art Conservation, the map was framed using archival materials, including UV filtering plexiglas. The frame was sealed to prevent dust, debris or other contaminants from entering.
