That walkway between the island and the French doors is pretty slim, so stools with legs all cluttered and bumping would have been so frustrating. These tuck nicely away and allow us to sweep (or rather, the robot vacuum to sweep) under them. I do wish they came with some sort of stopper so the potential to slam wouldn't be there. They were so scuffed and dirty, and every scratch on top showed. Still waiting on custom wool tufted cushions for the tops, but already it's an improvement. Some thoughts about the built-in dining bench/banquette after using it for a year at the cabin.... We also had to drill new holes and “age” each one of them with the brass ager and steel wool. (I’ll post a video of that soon.)
