The movement is from east to west.

Archaeologists digging through a vast ancient tomb in Amphipolis in northern Greece have uncovered a floor mosaic that covers the whole area of a room seen as the antechamber to the main burial ground.

Great news from the excavations at the Kasta Tumulus in Amphipolis (Macedonia, Northern Greece).The removal of soil in the second chamber (behind the Caryatids) has revealed a wonderful pebble mosaic, supporting a late 4th century BC date. It depicts a bearded and laurel-wreathed man on a chariot, accompanied by Hermes, the messenger god. Part of the scene's centre is damaged, but fragments have been found and restoration will be attempted.
