El faro de Thridrangar es quizá uno de los más remoto del mundo...
Los islandeses lo llaman Þrídrangaviti, que significa "faro de los tres pilares". El faro de Thridrangar, en el sur de Islandia, se encuentra en un promontorio en el mar, visible desde unas nueve millas náuticas, y está a 110 pies sobre el nivel del mar. Es uno de los lugares más inaccesibles del país ubicado en lo alto de un acantilado, rodeado por el océano Atlántico. Construido antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, los materiales del faro de þridrangar se transportaron por aire y se ensamblaron manualmente para mejorar la seguridad marítima.
