Naxos
A few more from our Cyclades trip. I’ve always been interested in typography and signwriting. Over here everything is hand drawn, no CAD, plastic transfers or any of that modern nonsense. Many of the signs seem to be painted straight onto shop fronts and signboards, with no laying out, spacing or planning. I think they look really cool, especially when they get weathered by the sun. More to follow.

Other sources including foreign missionaries mention 500,000 deaths, most through deportation and forced marches into the Anatolian desert. Greek cities (Pafra, Samsous, Kerasous, and Trapezous) endured massacres and deportations that destroyed their populations.
