130lbs kitchen island made movable with casters. We’ve just had kitchen fitters in, and we’re very pleased with our new kitchen. Part of the job was removing cabinets from a short wall on one side. We wanted this area to be flexible rather than more cabinets – therefore the idea was born of an island to move about as an additional cooking surface as well as workstation for working from home.

I added a red plastic chopping board that I bought at the World Market, to match with the color of my kitchen. I use the main container at the bottom for potatoes, because it is perfectly ventilated but covered. And I place accessories on the shelves to have other vegetables (tomatoes, onions) at hand.

I love the clean and simple lines of the IKEA GODMORGON sink and wall cabinets for the bathroom. However, they can sometimes look a little standard or low grade. In this IKEA hack, we upgraded the GODMORGON vanity look with a live edge white oak countertop, chrome handles, Kohler top-mount sinks and wall-mounted Grohe faucets for a more luxurious look.
