We've done a similar project to this. Book alteration is executed nicely in this sculpture. We see a man's face in great detail. The books pages have been sculpted to get the shape.
It is a really cool figure, where a man is doing a back flip. It is suspended through the air. Very modern.

The Little Dancer by Edgar Degas, Musee D'Orsay, Paris. The St. Louis Art Museum had this—or a copy?—for a time when I was little. It's the piece I always think about when I remember all those Sunday trips with my family. Good times!
