Un autre style de rendu de gilet court : The costumes of Spetses, Hydra and generally of the islands of the Ermionis region were characterized in earlier days by a green pleated dress. Later, this dress was substituted with costume “ensembles” in the fashion of the day. They retained their everyday or festive embroidered or other silk head scarf. Women in Salamina wore their bridal costume to all festivals for one year following their wedding until the birth of their first child. It resembles the Megara costume and those of other regions featuring the Renaissance-style gown. The white cotton chemise has lace decoration at the neckline, cuffs and hem. On top of this is worn a velvet zipouni (short jacket) embroidered with fine gold cord and a sleeveless dress with a bodice of crimson velvet and full, gathered skirt of hases…
