We work so hard at the beginning of each school year to make sure all students understand the expectations. We practice the different voice levels. Model what each sounds like, and practice some more. Since we only see each class once per week, it is important to go over the expectations again at the beginning of each class.
Your students are going to love learning about the parts of a computer while building their own on paper! These little laptops turn out so adorable you can't resist smiling when you see the finished products. This activity is meant to be quite open-ended, but the internal computer parts do each have a place. Decipher where they go by the size of the cut out.
We all know there are a ton of great free resources out there for Hour of Code (and we are so grateful for them!). Sometimes all of that choice can feel a bit overwhelming. This year I decided to put together a kit that will hopefully bring everything together for us.
