Students discuss and analyze the theme in the book, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. They evaluate which theme most reveals the central idea or message of the story. Then they work in groups or individually to drag and drop a list of the themes to rank their choices and use reasoning skills to justify their decisions. An optional writing assignment is included to extend the lessons or to be used as homework.
