This lovely mask could have just been brought up from the depths of the Mediterranean Sea, where shes been ruling the depths with Neptune (note his trident in her crown). The look is old bronze with a verdigris patina, but of course its light weight paper mache, another in a series of trompe loeil metallics Ive been doing. The shells, seahorse, and sand dollars are all hand made out of the same paper...
