Limassol, Cyprus: is a busy Mediterranean port along the southern coast. It was included in my trip around the world in 1995, serving as the starting point of excursions to Egypt and Israel. I cleared customs then found a spotless budget room in a stately old mansion was run by Siege, an ex-sailor who in perfect English. He recommended the package cruise to Egypt and Israel which was one of the highlights of my world tour. Naturally, I stayed in his hotel when the cruise ship returned.
