Siren- Greek myth: a woman with the wings and scaly feet of a bird. She was able to sing with an enchanted voice to lure sailers to their death in her rocky shores. She played a variety of instruments but mostly the harp.
The Harpies are Greek bird-women who delight in thievery and spreading pestilence and famine over the land.
