Bohemian Pavise with St.George and the Dragon, Zwickau, circa 1480 -- The arms on the present splendid example show it to have formed a part of the armoury of the Bohemian town of Zwickau, located in the Lausitzer Mountains, just to the west of the present German border. A pavise from the same series is preserved in the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds (Inv. No. V.I) together with two others (Inv. Nos V. 2 & V.I3) bearing the same arms but showing a different design.
