When it comes to the perfect size, it really depends on the plant and its root space needs. From what I've seen, 15 cm is plenty for herbs, lettuce, onions, leeks, and celery. For plants that require more root space, like aubergines, peppers, and corn, a 20 cm snail seems to work best. However, it's important to remember that this is a matter of observation and adjustment. I'm thrilled that so many people are trying out this method, as it allows us to exchange experiences and collectively answer the mind-boggling question: does size really matter?
