A Clockwork Orange (1971) An "ultraviolent" hooligan is convicted of his crimes and volunteers to an experimental treatment that would reduce his sentence. This film forces a little introspection. Violent nature is in all of us. "Just beneath the skin lies an animal, that wants to put his hands around your neck"- Confusion Said

Green Street (Green Street Hooligans) (2005) The Griffin, 57 Brook Road South, Brentford. The Hammers fans drink at ‘The Abbey’, but far from being near West Ham’s football ground, it's The Griffin in Brentford, alongside Griffin Park – the home of Brentford FC. www.movie-locations.com/movies/g/Green-Street.html

The skinhead culture in the UK derived from working class young people. The CCCS of the Birmingham Universities studied youth cultures and named them sub-cultures because they were resistant to mainstream culture. The skinhead culture resisted beauty ideals by shaving their heads and their clothing style (boots, shirts and braces) represented that they are working class. Skinheads emerged during a time of the erosion of the working class. Their particular style had symbolic resistance.
