William Morris (boxed notecards), in collaboration with fellow members of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, founded a decorating firm in 1861—Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. Employing preindustrial techniques, the firm produced a wide range of domestic crafts, including stained glass, furniture, textiles, and wallpaper.
