Salt water taffy. This is super easy, and the finished product is impressive. 1. I cut the batch in half. 2.Instead of flavoring oil I did 1 tsp orange extract and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 3.I cooked the sugar to 255-256 deg F, this resulted in a soft chewy texture that didn't stick to the teeth! I cut the taffy into bite size pieces, about an inch, this yielded about 50 pieces (not counting the ones eaten in the process). I cut wax paper into little squares and individually wrapped them.
