Beautiful Omani (possible - but probably not - Yemeni) amulet box posted by Michael Backman on his website. The coral pendants look good, and fit in well with the necklace of the box is a part, but one suspects that the box may originally have had different (i.e. silver) tassels. Still, such changes are a legitimate part of the history of the piece, which is very effective, showing refinement of silver work actually more characteristic of Yemen than Oman.
