Pantocrator, carved wooden icon ornament-

This is the version of Panaghia Odegetria (The Guide)  taken by an older icon that is now found in the Byzantine Museum in Athens. The icon is named as such because of the hand gesture of the All- Hole mother pointing, "guiding" us towards the Son of God. The Christ Child is affectionately looking to His mother, blessing.  The icon measures approximately the size (and taller than) an A4 page.

The icon is inspired by a medieval fresco in panagia Kera in Kritsa, a very beautiful Church of my island Crete.
