Klaus Nomi sings as the cold genius from Henry Purcell's King Arthur. Baroque. His studio recording was a chilling performance. What power art thou, who from below Hast made me rise unwillingly and slow From beds of everlasting snow See’st thou not how stiff... and wondrous old... Far unfit to bear the bitter cold... I can scarcely move or draw my breath... Let me, let me freeze again to death.
Klaus Nomi on TV Party (NYC, Jan 8,1979) ♥full time♥6:04♥
I vividly remember the first time I saw Klaus Nomi performing with David Bowie on SNL Dec 15 1979. A few years later, I squeezed out the big bucks to buy his rare (in the US) records: Simple Man and another too. Regardless of whether you know Nomi or not, or whether you liked New Wave Music, take some time & WATCH this sublime documentary. This film tells Klaus's story so beautifully and compellingly, I couldn't look away.
