Easy kid project (with a little adult help). I cut 1/3 inch thick slices of a pine branch for the petals, then angled the branch for the leaves and cut a few more. I used a thin sheet of plywood as the backing. Then each of my boys glued down and painted their own flower. Because the flower was raised up from the backing, even the 3 year old could paint within the lines. They were so happy to give this gift to their mom.
