Dido Sotiriou (1909-2004) was a Greek novelist and playwright. She was raised in Athens completing her studies in the French Institute and later attending the Sorbonne. In 1936 she began her career as a journalist. She fought against the dictatorship of Metaxas and later , she joined the Communist Party  and worked for an underground anti-fascist newspaper.She published The Dead Await, Bloody Earth and many others.She was among the founders of the Association for the Turkish-Greek Friendship
