Bauhaus. 1919 - 1923.

The manifesto of the Bauhaus Movement is what my group mate and I tried to reproduce on the background for the photoshoot in order to have a visual reference to such time period.

Nice info graphic describing the History of the Bauhaus. There is one error - the Bauhaus was not a movement it was an art and design school which embraced certain elements of the modern movement.

Poster for the Bauhaus Design Exposition, Print work was a large part of the Bauhaus. I would frame posters and hang them throughout the apartment. I like the typography and use of negative space in this design.

Wassily Kandinsky, "Dance Curves: On the Dances of Palucca" (1926) Dancer and choreographer Gret Palucca (1902-1993) was a former student of Mary Wigman, the leading figure in German Expressionist dance. In 1925, Palucca opened her own dance studio in Dresden and developed close contacts with various Bauhaus instructors, many of whom greatly admired her dance style.
