Mental Illnesses & neuro-biochemical disorders we fight & try to control every day. We don't want pity--we ask for moments of understanding & compassion. We use therapy, trial-and-error medication "cocktails, " & every available tool yet suffer days where we are simply overwhelmed by life. ~ kira sunbird

OMG I LOVE THE MONSTERS ! Everyone has monsters looming behind them, tugging at their hair, covering their eyes with their ghastly claws or just barely touching your shoulders.

Why doesn't anyone get this shit man. It's such a drag being around people who don't see these illnesses as a real problem.

People say “just let it go” as if it hasn’t been proven to be an actual chemical imbalance making me more prone to anxiety. “Just dgaf” I try. It’s a work in progress and every day is different!

Yes! I.know all about this!!!

Too true ------------------------------------------- Major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) with panic attacks. I won the bloody lottery didn't I? Don't tell me it's "just being sad" or "just worrying/stressing".

I knew my little brother suffered from depression for years but I never thought it would take him to such depths that he would actually take his own life. I should have heard it in his voice I should have seen it in his eyes and I should have seen it in his poetry that he wrote to me. I will miss his smile and his cute button nose for the rest of my life #TheSunShinesBrighterBecauseHeWasHere ❤
