Rosa Parks sacrificed her freedom for others. She did this by refusing to give up her seat to a white person, which sent her to jail.

Rosa Parks was asked to move to the back of the bus where black people were expected to sit, by the whites. When she refused, police became involved, essentially leading to her arrest. Rosa Parks is a true Civil Rights leader, due to her strength and bravery. This arrest eventually led to the Montgomery Bus Boycotts, where African Americans did not use the buses, but walked instead.
