Penelope Delta (1874-1941) was a Greek writer, mainly writing novels for children. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, she was very passionate about Greece, where she left her last breath. She is best known for her novel "Paramythi horis onoma" (1910), "Trelantonis" (1932) and "Sta mystika tou valtou" (1937).

Penelope Delta (1874-1941) was a Greek writer, mainly writing novels for children. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, she was very passionate about Greece, where she left her last breath. Penelope Delta, Greek writer killed herself when Germany invaded Greece during World War II

Penelope Delta (1874-1941):an author of books, mainly for kids. Practically the first Greek children's books writer, her historical novels have been widely read and influenced Greek popular perceptions on national identity and history. She committed suicide by taking poison on 27 April 1941, the very day Wehrmacht troops entered Athens. She died after several days on 2 May 1941. On her grave, in the garden of her house, the word σιωπή, siōpē ("silence") was engraved.
