William T. Georgis Revamps a Midcentury Marvel in Southern California - Galerie
Flanked by shimmering panels, the custom-made bar is a special design by Georgis & Mirgorodsky. “I was in Palm Beach years ago and found these carved antique Japanese screens made of wood that had been gold-leafed,” recalls Georgis. “I didn’t know what I was going to do with them, but it made sense to use them here.” Surmounted by an early Condo artwork, the bar, located just off the kitchen, also features earthy materials like eucalyptus, rattan, and bronze.
