After the death of their son, Patrick, JFK and Jackie were very close to each other. He went Christmas shopping early, and purchased a Kunzite ring because he felt its bright color reflected his hope for their future together. Tragically, he died before he had the chance to present it to her. The devastated Jackie treasured the ring the rest of her life. It was her last gift from her beloved husband. The matching earrings and necklace were purchased in advance by JFK to make a complete suite.
