a woman receiving cryoblation treatment for breast fibroadenomas (benign breast cysts). A thin, wand-like needle is inserted into the breast, directly into the breast tumor. A gas is then pumped through the needle that freezes the cyst and kills the cells. Then doctors stop and let the tumor thaw before applying another round of freezing gas. This is repeated several times until all the cyst cells have been eliminated.
