Portmeirion, North Wales
I loved visiting Portmeirion in Wales because it's made from a collection of odd bits and architectural fragments, rescued from places all over Europe. It was the brainchild of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis who built it during the period from 1925 to 1975. His daughter Susan is the designer of Portmeirion china.
