Karpathos, Greece, is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. The ferry I was on pulled into the harbor for a dawn stop during my trip to Greece in 1984. By that trip, my second to that nation, I had already fallen in love with everything and anything Greek.
