Omer Lutfi Pasha
His real name is Michel Lattas. In 1828, he fled from Austria and took refuge in the Ottoman Empire and took the name Ömer Lütfi. He joined the army with the rank of captain. He became his teacher during Sultan Abdülmecid's heir. Later he rose to military service and became Major, District Governor and Translator at the serasker gate. He was tasked with suppressing the Albanian and Kurdish uprisings. He participated in the Crimean War in 1853.
