The older bridal version of the Makra Gefyra (Zaloufi), Thrace. The festive dress with its embroidered overcoat known by the name of “terliki”. A special effect is created by the white felt boots. Early 20th century. Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation, Nafplion, Greece.
Traditional festive costumes of the Greek-Orthodox inhabitants from the Pontos region (Black Sea coast and hinterland). Late-Ottoman era, urban style, early 20th century. This is a recent workshop-made copy, as worn by folk dance groups.
