You are the biggest “limitation”
Even before going to a yoga class. I decided, what I could do and what I could not do. My teachers told me to take a leap of faith in me. Try a range of asanas and breathing exercises. But, I was too skeptical to be able to do them properly. It’s only when I showed a little faith in me; did my yoga practice grow.
Focus on what your body is capable of; not the perfect posture
I am guilty of pushing my body beyond its capability, to get into the perfect posture. As a result, I have injured myself a couple of times. Thus, I have finally learnt that, “Listen to your body, its capacity and capability.” When you are ready, the asana will come to you.
Until your body is still, your mind will be catapulting
Sit straight, shoulders back and breathe slowly This is the first and the most important thing told by my teacher. The body-posture-breath decides your mental state and well being. Thus, a good posture and deep breathing keeps you happier and healthier. #yoga #yogalife
