The Miraculous Icon of Saint Anna in  Bistrița Monastery (Vâlcea), Romania. It was donated by Roman emperor Manuel II Palaiologos (1350-1425) and his wife Anna to the duke of Moldavia, Alexander the Good, as a sign of gratitude for the hospitality he gave to his son Andronikos. The icon has performed many miracles.

St. Alexius strongly cared about his flock, organized monasteries, and built relationships with the Kahn's Golden Horde. In 1357 Khan demanded that the Grand Duke send the saint to him in order to heal the blind Taydulu, his wife. "The petition and the case exceeds the measure of my strength" said St. Alexius "but I believe in One who gave his sight to the blind. He will not despise a prayer of faith." And indeed, by his prayer and sprinkling of holy water, the wife of the Khan was healed.

Santa Tatiana fue una mártir cristiana del siglo III en Roma durante el reinado del emperador Alejandro Severo. Fue una diaconisa de la iglesia naciente.  De acuerdo a la leyenda, fue hija de un servidor público romano quien era secretamente cristiano, educó a su hija en la fe y llegó a ser diaconisa de la iglesia. Esto era peligroso y, un día, el jurista Ulpiano capturó a Tatiana y le forzó a rendir sacrificios a Apolo.
