The Standard London showcases a bright and bold colour scheme throughout the interior, inspired by the 1970s, the design team was able to maintain the building’s essence harmonised with the free-spirit vibe so present during the ’70s. The building’s curved cornered windows reverberate throughout the new interior, creating a sense of undulating spaciousness.

The Standard London is located inside the former Camden Town Hall, an iconic Brutalist landmark in the area, and was designed by Shawn Hausman in collaboration with the Standard Hotel.

The Standard London has 266 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a street-facing bar and restaurant – Double Standard, the Decimo, a restaurant located on the 10th floor with floor-to-ceiling windows, providing privileged views of London’s skyline and is only accessible by the iconic exterior red-pull lift.

The rooms preserve the original concrete ceilings, painted white and highlight the structures iconic windows with plum-coloured upholstered seating following the building’s instantly recognisable curved façade.

Colour extends into the hotel’s guest rooms and suites, each fitted with a flecked cobalt-blue carpet and vibrant red wardrobes; the shapes of the doors and handles reverberate the irregular shapes and styling seen throughout the Standard London‘s decor.
