But a creative chef known as Nao has found a unique way to turn the timeless Japanese fruit sandwich into a treat embedded with sweet characters. In their creations, tiny cats and charming dogs made out of oranges, strawberries, and grapes greet you from the whipped cream.

Corinne (otherwise known as _ghoul_mom_ on social media) is a talented and creative food artist from DC. As a mother of two children, she found herself passionate about creating whimsical, fun food art at the start of the pandemic. Her unique and playful creations quickly became a way to bring joy and laughter to children, inspire them to try new foods, and make meal times more enjoyable.

Toasted barley may not be a flavour typically associated with desserts but here Roberta Hall-McCarron uses it to flavour a panna cotta, which is garnished with an assortment of summer berries and buckwheat.
