Cuban Independence Day is celebrated on May 20. On this day in 1902, Cuba declared its independence from the United States. Many cities have parades. Other festivities include picnics, feasting with friends and family, and city-wide celebrations. The Spanish American war ended in 1898, and up until then Cuba was a territory of Spain. #3B
