Kalkaska Township was recently dispatched to a house fire. Upon arrival, crews were in a defensive attack and within 5 minutes, one crew switched to an interior attack. During the first 45-minute air bottle, they tore down much of the ceiling while being exposed to some heat and fire.

I was shown the Joe McNally firefighter night photoshoot from my buddy Nick Verbenec (nickverbenecphotography.com) and had to give it a go. This is the second night of shooting with trial and error. I used hand lights to light the cab and steering wheel. Alien Bees b1600 with large octabox.

In 2020, it feels like we’ve reached a new level of tension. Nearly everyone’s talking about the possibility of World War Three breaking out. Meanwhile, Australia’s still on fire, with devastating consequences.
