Substrates used: Paper bedding (Kaytee Clean and Cozy) - Reptile sand - Coconut fiber - Coconut chips - Corn cob bedding - Beech chips - Reptile moss - Aspen (snake) bedding. I also use dried flowers, herbs and a variety of sprays: red and yellow millet, red and white sorghum, canary grass, etc.

My hamster Pickle has been really enjoying his bin cage set-up. Including deep substrate, on the left, with a plant stand as a second level and large sand bath area on the right. (I had just taken his water bottle out to refill.)
