Edit and Grade the footage with a relatively high amount of contrast and color. Export the footage only in 1080p (1080×1920) in h.264 format. Make sure the file size is under 40-50 Megabytes with a bitrate of -40mbit. otherwise Your footage will be compressed for less storage space on the servers and compression decreases the quality & sharpness. Katie Steckly on Instagram: "Here’s your cheat sheet for high quality Reels 👉🏻 save this for later!

Record Video > 4K 30fps
Format > Most Compatible
Turn off HDR (trust me and thank me later!)
IG Settings > turn on high quality uploads

These settings will be ideal not only for uploading high quality videos to Instagram, but also if you choose to edit your content in Premiere Pro for example, it will be much more compatible than if you left it on HDR or high efficiency.

Vaibhav Hedaoo on Instagram: "Save this video for the next time you upload a reel✅

1. Shoot your video in the highest quality, which is Cinematic 4K at 30/60 FPS or at least 1080P at 30/60 FPS

2. Shoot with good lighting as it enhances your subject. 3 point lighting or you facing towards a natural light.

3. Use blur to blur your background to focus on subject. Contrast to +5, Keep Sharpen 25-30, Highlights +15 in CapCut or VN editor to get the crisp edges. This is optional and depends on your video lighting.

4. After editing in VN or CapCut, export your video in 1080P at 30FPS with the bitrate recommended on CapCut and between 30-45 on VN.
This is because social media platforms only allows you to post at these settings!

5. Before posting, enable “High Quality Upload” by going to Set 3 Point Lighting, Good Lighting, Video Lighting, Cool Lighting, Social Media Platforms, Blur, Subjects, Natural Light, Social Media
