This tried and true Eye Self-Portrait Easy Distance Learning Lesson is perfect for teaching basic techniques and self-expression!

These reflective symmetry art worksheets are great to have on hand in middle or high school art classes to use for substitute lesson plans, introducing line, pen and ink, symmetry, or for early finishers. They vary in difficulty so you can assign them according to the level of your students level of ability. Each art worksheet contains one half of an image of an insect and students complete the drawing using pencil and pen. Students develop hand eye coordination and drawing skills.

I created this as a reflection prompt for students to finish the sentence "Today in Art I..." when they are writing their daily page in their sketchbook at the end of class.
