Chris Emmert is a self-taught, mixed media artist and sculptor currently working extensively in Mosaic. In her lifetime of creative endeavors, working with a variety of media, (i.e. stonework, basketry, assemblage, and collage) there is one prevailing thread in all of her creations – the Integration of the Found Object. By working with such a wide array of materials, Chris has virtually perfected many common technical issues encountered when joining dissimilar materials.

I started creating mosaic on stone for my garden as a way to do smaller pieces and take a break from the larger mosaic art I create. I had no idea they would become such an important part of my journey as an artist. I so enjoy creating these pieces and I think it shows.
