trail to Bumpass Hell, Mt. Lassen National Park, CA Southwest from Bumpass Mtn. Mt. Conard and Bumpass Hell below from Bumpass Mtn. There is a campground at the south entrance station to the park at 7,000'. There is also the Kings Creek Campground at eastern approach at 7,400'.

Taken from the trail that leads to Bumpass's Hell. Not an easy hike for me, maybe because of the elevation of about 7000 feet, but mostly because I need to hike more. We (Mistydays) and I were the last ones on the trail as the sun was going down.
