This beautiful part of Tahiti is inside the barrier reef but separated from land by a deep lagoon. The shallow reef fills with sand and creates this vibrant isolated wonderland. I like to stand up paddle through the maze of scattered coral heads in the mid-morning when you can see them (and not smash into them!) and also see all the fish, eels, rays, sharks and of course the light dancing on the bottom...
