Experimenting with the shutter speed is the best way to determine the correct shutter/aperture combination for your situation. In this case, the 1/60th version doesn't imply enough motion to be effective; the 1/30 & 1/15th versions are better. (Copyright

great idea unabashedly borrowed from Andrea@flickr's shot viewed best Large On Black longer exposure of sugar hitting a strawberry supported by a spoon. Not nearly as striking as what I was trying to emulate, but I still like the result Taken with kit lens, used tripod. Edited in iPhoto for contrast and saturation only. score me score 42, average score 8.4, three hits on Hit Miss maybe why

Harrison Abelson - This picture is an example of implied movement because although the picture is still, the blurriness of the trees in the background suggest that the teddy bear is on a moving swing in the playground. The depth is also awesome as we get a close sharp shot of the bear and the images far away are blurred out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/62392960@N00/140860685/

I actually borrowed this teddy from a mother with her two kids nearby since I don't always have mine handy when I prowl the local playgrounds. ;) Took some pics of her kids too on that merry-go-round but understandably she don't want me to post them online.
