Mostly Mayco! Sand Dollar, Rose Quartz, Peppered Plum, Amaryllis - randomly poured and swirled. Also with Firebrick and a blob of River Birch

This blog post is really more for me but you are welcome to gleam whatever you want from it. I need a way to document and keep track of the different glazes and the results. For this bowl I used Textured Amber brown (TAB) 2 base coats. Then Overlapping stripes of Seaweed (S) and Ancient Jasper (AJ) 2 coats. This cup was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel. It is made out of a white stoneware clay and has been glazed with a combination of two commercial glazes. I love the way the glaze pulls away from the rim and the texture on the mug to reveal the orange base glaze. It is food safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe. After throwing this cup, I added slip to the outside to create the texture you see. It is comfortable to hold and drink out of. This tumbler would be great…
