THIS! This is definitely an inspiration, but just more color and little meaningful artsy details incorporated into both the bark of the tree and the overall painting. I like this cropping of the tree, or even closer while still including the root structure and at least one branch. It would just be one trunk, not two. I really love the strong texture of the trunk and roots. You could get a lot more creative with color blending too!
